HENSTA CARES - Social Responsibility & Contribution

HENSTA as part of the local community aims to underline its commitment and responsibility towards the people of the community through its community investment program and social initiatives.

In order to meet the goal of improving the lives of the people in the community in which HENSTA conducts its business the following projects can be highlighted:

• In 1994 the need for an accessible and affordable basic medical service in the immediate community was identified. This gave birth to the Lusthof Private Clinic which was situated on HENSTA’s premises. Hensta supported the clinic in its efforts to provide a healthier future to the local community and its people through the provision of financial assistance towards the operational costs and medical supplies of the clinic. Sister Yvonne van Staden, who we proudly recognize as one of the founding members of HENSTA, provided an accessible medical service to the rural community in conjunction with Dr. Susan Cloete. The clinic closed its doors in 2009 after 15 years of service to the community.
• In our continuing effort to give something back to the community and in conjunction with our valued suppliers, we were involved in the organization of an event and sponsorships which benefitted the Uitkoms Care Centre, a centre for physically and mentally handicapped persons situated in Pretoria.
• We are also proud to have been associated with the Lost City Cycle Challenge which was held in aid of CANSA. HENSTA was one of the many sponsors of the annual event for the last two years running.

HENSTA aims to continue its efforts to improve the quality of life of local and rural communities as far as reasonably practicable on a regular and sustainable basis. We aim to achieve this through various means such as donations in order to provide assistance to the local community in key areas such as education and entrepreneurship.
